Your names stay in your browser
The application stores one event in this site’s localStorage on your browser. It does not submit guest lists to a server, connect to an account, send invitations or use an analytics service. Guest names are not added to the URL, a sharing link, error reports or telemetry.
What is stored
The event title, guest ID, display name, optional sort key, RSVP state, assigned table, table numbers, seat counts, neutral group labels, group member IDs and keep-apart pairs. Rules belong to the organizer’s internal review; do not enter relationship explanations. JSON backups include rules, while guest CSV and PDF exports exclude rule IDs, group labels and keep-apart pairs. CSV imports accept only these relevant guest fields. Do not enter addresses, allergy information, phone numbers, email addresses or other sensitive information into names or sort keys.
What happens on download
PDFs, CSV files and JSON backups are generated on your device. These downloaded files contain names and are not encrypted. You control where you save and send them. The app does not send them for you.
What local storage does and does not mean
Local storage survives a normal reload. It is specific to this browser profile and this site origin. Clearing site data, using a different browser, moving to a new domain, or ending some private-browsing sessions can remove or hide your event. People with access to your unlocked browser profile may be able to read it. Keep a JSON backup; there is no recovery account or cloud sync.
To delete an event, remove its guests or clear this site’s browser storage. Clearing storage does not delete files you downloaded. Backups should be deleted separately if no longer needed. Undo exists only in the current session.
Hosting
This public toolkit is hosted by ChatGPT Sites. The toolkit has no event account system. The host serves static files and may process ordinary access logs. Our application requests only its own static assets, including locally bundled print fonts; it does not put guest data in those requests.
